Commissioned by Peter Tilling and the Festival Risonanze Erranti with the generous support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, dropLET_GO was premiered at the Festival Risonanze Erranti on September 24th, 2021, at the Protestantische Kirche Haardt in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Germany. The piece unfolds as a gradual convergence, beginning with highly granular, repetitive textures and mechanically interwoven gestures that create a dense counterpoint of micro-interactions among the instruments. These complex, layered synergies form a restless, mechanical surface that propels the structure forward. As the work progresses, this energetic fragmentation slowly dissolves into continuous timbral threads—sonic filaments that stretch and evolve across time. Through this transition from complexity to cohesion, dropLET_GO explores the poetics of motion and stasis, of fragmentation giving way to resonance. It is a study in transformation, where sound moves from resistance to release.
